What does “Florida Intra-State” mean?+
Florida Intra-State means both pickup and delivery are inside Florida — from one Florida city to another. This region covers routes like Miami↔Orlando, Tampa↔Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale↔Miami, etc. Key West routes are in their own dedicated region (Florida Keys) due to the specialty Overseas Highway logistics.
How much do intra-Florida shipments cost?+
Intra-Florida pricing is the most competitive in the network because the lanes are short and carriers run them constantly. Most intra-FL routes start in the $350-$475 range. The $350 floor reflects the practical minimum any carrier accepts to dispatch a truck. Even very short hauls (Fort Lauderdale to Miami, 30 miles) hit that floor.
How fast can you pick up for an intra-FL move?+
Intra-FL routes typically have the shortest pickup windows in the network — often same-day or next-day, with transit of 1-2 days. The combination of high carrier density and short distances means scheduling is usually flexible.
Do port-city pickups apply on intra-FL moves?+
Yes if you need direct port access. JAXPORT, PortMiami, Port Everglades, and the Port of Tampa all require TWIC card access. If you’re shipping to/from a port specifically (not just to that city), we partner with local port specialists. Most intra-FL moves are door-to-door, so this rarely applies.
Why are intra-FL moves popular as a service?+
Lots of reasons: seasonal residents moving between Florida homes (Naples in winter, Orlando area in summer), college student moves (UF in Gainesville, UCF in Orlando, FSU in Tallahassee), military PCS (multiple Florida bases), retirees relocating within Florida, and dealer transfers between rooftops.
