Within Florida

Florida’s intra-state network is the fastest, most dealer-heavy region we cover. Most routes are 85-345 miles — too short for consumers to ship, so the audience is car dealers (auction pickups, inventory transfers, online buyer delivery) and INOP shippers (totaled vehicles, project cars, salvage purchases). 16 active two-way routes connecting Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Naples, and Key West with same-day and next-day delivery.

Real audience, real economics.

Florida intra-state isn’t a snowbird corridor. Consumers drive these distances. The actual customers are dealers and INOP shippers — and we built this network around them.

The Network

Why Florida intra-state is different.

Most auto transport corridors are dominated by consumers — snowbirds, relocations, online buyers. Florida intra-state is the opposite. Consumers just drive 85-345 mile distances, so the actual users of this network are professional and specialty shippers.

Why consumers don’t ship intra-state.

If you’re driving from Miami to Orlando, you’ll be there in 3.5 hours. Tampa to Naples is 2 hours. Jacksonville to Tampa is 3 hours. These are drive distances, not ship distances. A consumer comparing the time and cost of shipping vs. driving will almost always drive.

That’s not a criticism — it’s just the math. When transport quotes start at $225-$325 and a tank of gas runs $40-$50, most people choose to drive. Shipping makes sense when there’s a reason you can’t drive: the vehicle doesn’t run, you don’t own it yet (auction wins, online purchases), or you’re moving inventory you’ll never personally use (dealer transfers).

That’s why Florida intra-state customers cluster into three groups: dealers, auction buyers, and INOP shippers. The route pages we’ve built reflect that reality with dealer/INOP-first framing and pricing structures.

Who actually books these routes.

Florida car dealers — inventory transfers between metro lots, dealer-to-dealer trades, customer delivery for online sales, trade-in repositioning. The biggest single audience.

Auction buyers — Manheim Tampa, Orlando, Daytona Beach; Copart Tampa, Orlando, Miami; IAA across Florida. Dealers and licensed buyers winning vehicles at auction need them delivered to their lots or shops. Same-day pickup is common.

INOP vehicle shippers — totaled cars heading to body shops or salvage buyers, project cars between owners, estate vehicles, salvage-titled purchases. The vehicle doesn’t run, so shipping is the only option.

Specialty buyers — classic car collectors, exotic car dealers, motorcycle shippers, car detailers picking up vehicles. Smaller volume but consistent.

The occasional consumer — sometimes people genuinely can’t drive their own car (injury, work schedule, multi-vehicle moves). Real, just rare on these short distances.

Common Questions

Florida intra-state FAQ

The questions Florida dealers, INOP shippers, and auction buyers ask most often. Add yours to a quote.

Who actually ships cars within Florida?+
Florida intra-state routes are too short for most consumers to bother shipping — most people just drive distances of 85-345 miles themselves. The vast majority of our intra-state customers are car dealers (dealer-to-dealer transfers, Manheim and Copart auction pickups, online buyer delivery, trade-in repositioning) and individuals shipping INOP vehicles that can’t be driven — totaled cars, project vehicles, estate transfers, and salvage purchases.
How much does Florida intra-state shipping cost?+
Pricing depends heavily on distance and operability. Shortest hauls like Orlando-Tampa (85 mi) start at $225-$325. Longer intra-state runs like Miami-Jacksonville (345 mi) run $375-$525. INOP vehicles add $150-$300 depending on equipment. Enclosed transport adds 50-60%. Dealer volume pricing available — typically 15-25% below consumer rates.
How long does intra-state shipping take?+
Same-day or next-day delivery on most routes. Florida intra-state is the fastest network we run — short distances and dense carrier coverage. Pickup windows are typically 1-2 business days, with same-day pickup often available for dealer accounts and urgent INOP moves. Book by 10am for best chance of same-day service.
Can I ship a non-running vehicle within Florida?+
Yes. INOP shipping is one of the most common reasons for intra-state moves. Carriers bring rollback or wheel-lift trucks to load vehicles that won’t start, have no transmission, are salvage-titled, or have accident damage. Be upfront about the vehicle’s status when booking — INOP fee is $150-$300 on top of the base rate depending on condition and equipment required.
Do you handle Florida auction pickups?+
Yes. We coordinate pickups at Manheim Tampa, Manheim Orlando, Manheim Daytona Beach, Copart Tampa, Copart Orlando, Copart Miami, IAA Florida locations, and ADESA. Need a gate pass, lot number, and buyer authorization — we handle the rest. Same-day pickup available for time-sensitive auction wins.
Do Florida dealers get discount pricing?+
Yes. We offer dealer pricing on regular volume — typically 15-25% below the consumer rate. Volume thresholds and exact discount depend on monthly load count. We can set up flat-rate or per-load deals for dealers running consistent monthly transfers between Florida metros.
What types of vehicles ship on intra-state routes?+
Everything — operable sedans and SUVs heading to dealer customers, INOP project cars and totaled vehicles heading to body shops or buyers, motorcycles needing transport, classic cars going to enclosed transport, and dealer trade-in repositioning. The short distance makes it economical for nearly any vehicle type.
How does pricing compare to long-haul Florida routes?+
Florida intra-state lanes have the lowest per-mile and total rates on our entire network — typically $225-$525 depending on distance. Long-haul routes (Florida to Northeast, Texas, Midwest) run $700-$1,400. Intra-state moves are also fastest, with same-day delivery often available. If your route is under 350 miles, it’s almost certainly intra-state pricing.
